Grandmas, moms, children, toddlers, and babies. |
This summer, the
Pregnancy Resource Center (PRC) in Wyoming, Michigan, invited Kathleen to lead an education
session with Spanish speaking mothers and children. We spent the hour reading Escondites (Hiding Places), talking about how God is our Father and refuge, journaling, and praying for each other. PRC staffers, Marissa and Miriam, were a blessing, welcoming and encouraging the families and the Pebbles and Stones team. All who attended, from grandmas to babies received their own copy of Escondites.
"The moms and the children in the room were all quiet and attentive as Kathleen read Escondites [Hiding Places]. They smiled and laughed as they thought of hiding places they have used in the past. They were enlightened as they participated and heard the Escondites' message. The PRC provides free services for the community including, but not limited to, one-on-one mentoring, practical parenting classes and education, baby (0-2T) and maternity clothing, baby items (diapers, formula, equipment), and referrals.
