About Us
1 Peter 2:4-12

In 1982, Kathy Trock and some friends brought their young children together for weekly meetings. Soon the original group of seven children grew by word of mouth to over 20 children, with many of their parents attending as well. Many parents said things like "I never thought that children could hear the word of God" or "I didn't think that I would have so much fun experiencing God's love with children." Today there are active groups in Africa, Asia, Canada, India, Mexico and the United States.

How is Pebbles and Stones unique?

1. It teaches children (and adults) to listen to God. As we learn to listen, we look at lessons, talks, scriptures, and life experiences differently. We learn to look at them to find out what God is trying to teach us through them.

2. It teaches children to journal with words and/or pictures about what God is showing them. Then they learn to share those thoughts with others and to pray for each other with the journals as a starting point.

3. Leaders' lessons can be based on a curriculum or on their own quiet time, lessons they themselves are learning from God. It is flexible, but the lessons are not the focal point. They are the take off point that God uses to teach His children as they pray and listen.

4. It teaches us to sing a new song. Scripture tells us to sing a new song, and children have not yet learned that singing our own songs is hard or only for talented musicians and singers. In fact, they are naturals at making up songs in their play. This ability is encouraged and directed as a way to worship and give God glory.

5.  Community, It intentionally works to bring the generations together in the communities that we live in such as homes, neighborhoods, churches, schools, nursing homes etc.
