In 1982, Kathleen Trock and some friends brought their young children together for weekly meetings. Soon the original group of seven children grew by word of mouth to over 20 children, with many of their parents attending as well. Many parents said things like "I never thought that children could hear the word of God" or "I didn't think that I would have so much fun experiencing God's love with children." 37 years later, there are Pebbles and Stones groups in Canada, China, Congo, Ethiopia, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, India, Indonesia, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Liberia, Malaysia, Mali, Mexico, Mozambique, Namibia, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Thailand, United States of America, and Vietnam.
Pebbles and Stones has become an international, intergenerational Christian ministry that encourages God’s children of all ages to listen to His voice of love and respond to Him. As they do, they experience the great commandment of loving God and loving each other in the communities in which they live, and fulfill the great commission of going and making disciples of all nations.
The Pebbles and Stones groups meet in huts, under trees, in open fields, homes, churches, nursing homes and just about anyplace where the generations assemble. If you were to attend a Pebble and Stones gathering in any of thirty countries, you would see the generations giving to and receiving from each other. God uses the groups to draw children and adults to Himself and to one another, fostering personal growth and intimacy with God and each other.
There are Pebbles and Stones groups operating in over 25 Denominations World-wide.Churches have seen revival in their Sunday school participation and attendance along with many spiritual surprises utilizing the Pebbles and Stones methodology.
